Thank you Greg Gerbis!

When CWAV Society's current E.D. Debbie Berg attended the North Cowichan council meeting December 6th of 2018 she hoped for councils approval of a Women's Emergency Shelter site in North Cowichan.  Many community members showed up to share their approval, one of those was retired engineer Greg Gerbis accompanied by wife Bev.  Greg introduced himself to Debbie and offered to oversee the renovation project for the 2003 University Way site.  Greg activated many former work contacts to ensure the opening for December 20th.  We would like to acknowledge Greg's generosity in volunteering many man hours to the Women's Shelter to have it open by December 20th to welcome women into the shelter.  As well as thanking Greg we would also like to acknowledge some businesses and community members who made the effort:

FBM Plumbing, End of the Roll, Stone Pacific Contracting Ltd, Milestone Equipment Contracting, SLEGG Building supplies, Woodwork Renos, EB Horsman and Son,  Adams Tarp and Tool, Warmland Garage Doors, Super Save Fence Rental, Canadian Tire - Duncan & Victoria, Thrifty Foods - Duncan employees, Gutter Gator, Phoenix Duct Services, Wendy's House, Thrift Town, Handmade Hugs, MNP Duncan, Coast Electric, CHEK news.

ALSO THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE ANONYMOUS DONORS OF TIME AND HANDMADE GOODS!!
