EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Cowichan Women Against Violence Society in Duncan is seeking an Executive Director to provide visionary leadership in our multi-program agency. Qualities include extensive knowledge and feminist perspective of trauma and violence against women and children, proven people skills, excellent program management abilities, financial acumen, and a sense of humour. Salary $48,000/year plus benefits based on a 28-35 hour week.

Qualifications include:
  • Masters Degree in directly related field or equivalent direct experience
  • 3-5 years recent experience in direct administration of a multi-program agency
  • Strong feminist analysis of violence against women and direct counselling experience with survivors from a feminist perspective with survivors of abuse
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a non-profit agency as well as with other community agencies
  • Proven ability in coordination/supervision of staff
